About us

The Duval Kayaking Club is a not-for-profit organisation raising money for the Arrow Bone Marrow Transplant Foundation. The club was established in 1999 by Edwina Ridgeway and was formally known as the Duval Drummond & Smith Kayaking Club before Drummond & Smith's closure in 2015. The original purpose of the club was to train at several practice locations such as South West Rocks and Yamba before competing in the 111km Hawkesbury Canoe Classic which raises money for the clubs charity. Since the introduction of trimesters in 2012, the Duval Kayaking Club has unfortunately been unable to regularly participate in the Hawkesbury Canoe Classic, with 2019 being our last paddle. However, the club continues to donate and has shifted focus to the 27km Myall Lakes Canoe Classic held in September.  (Photos from the 2008 Hawkesbury Canoe Classic)
