Urunga Waters Tourist Park

The Duval Kayaking Club is heading to Urunga for a pub feed, camping and a paddle! Located right on the water, the Urunga Waters Tourist Park offers the perfect opportunity to see the area with its 13km looped paddle. Breakfast and snacks are provided for the Saturday paddle and those landcrewing can hit the beach, go for a fish or detour via Coffs on the way.

This event will be an overnight stay at Copeton Waters Caravan Park. There will be dinner and breakfast provided and tents available upon request if necessary. Our sites are unpowered, so bring a powerbank, a chair and something to keep you entertained, there will also be a campfire on site. Additionally, there is a kiosk that serves lunch and snacks onsight.  Depending on the weather paddlers may be able to paddle on Saturday arvo or first thing Sunday morning.

Mandatory safety training for all paddlers. Rollover is designed to show members how to safely exit the boat in the unlikely scenario it capsizes. The committee will be in the pool instructing and assisting members as the boat is flipped to ensure all members are capable of exiting.

Join us at Dumaresq Dam for a free BBQ and paddle! The club will be hosting a try-it-out session for anyone interested in joining the club or looking for a fun weekend experience. The team will give a rundown on equipment, safety and technique, then let you explore the water for as long as you like. Bring a towel, sunscreen, water and hat for the day, maybe even a fishing rod to keep you entertained while we cook up a storm. All students are welcome and we encourage everyone to have a go! If there are any dietary requirements please write them in the 'details' section of the ticket and we will sort something out.

The Myall Lakes Canoe Classic is a 27km competitive paddle held on the 20th of September. Our club enters the student race against several universities such as Sydney uni. This event is our only competitve event of the year, so book it in because it's right before exams! The club will be staying at Jimmy's Beach Reflections holiday park in Hawkes Nest for two nights and breakfast will be provided.

Start your Trimester 2 off with a two-night camping, shopping and paddling trip in Yamba! This event is one of our favourites with plenty of facilities at the park (e.g. waterpark, firepits, jumping pillow, private bathrooms, etc) and gorgeous views right along the river. With plenty of pubs to choose from, unique shops and opportunities to purchase gowns for events (i.e. parents weekend, Duval ball), Yamba has a lot to offer.
